We’re proud to announce that Openprovider is now directly accredited for .ph, the ccTLD of the Philippines!
That means lower prices, better domain management, and a more streamlined experience for you and your customers.
Read on to learn more about:
- Why you should add .ph domains to your portfolio
- Key details about registering .ph domains
- Our updated .ph pricing structure
- What happens to existing .ph domains
What’s changing?
All new .ph domain registrations and transfers now go through our accredited registrar setup.
This means:
- Lower costs – save up to 64% as an Openprovider Member with cost price operations on all domain operations, including registrations, renewals, and transfers.
- The WHOIS record now shows Hosting Concepts B.V (Openprovider’s official business name) as the registrar of record for all new registrations.
- Expired .ph domains now go into a 60-day soft quarantine, giving you a longer window to renew them.
- Deleted domains are immediately released, as per registry policy.
Existing .ph domains at Openprovider will remain with our previous supplier for now and continue to be billed at our old pricing until they are migrated to our new accredited setup. We are currently planning this migration and will notify affected resellers well in advance by email with specific dates and details.
Why .ph domains make sense
A .ph domain signals a trusted, local presence in the Philippines – one of Asia’s fastest-growing digital markets.
Why register a .ph domain?
- Build local trust: Nothing says “local” in the Philippines like a .ph domain. It’s a simple way to gain credibility and connect with Filipino customers.
- Improve visibility: A local domain extension can help you rank better in search results across the Philippines.
- Plan for growth: With a fast-growing online economy, the Philippines is a smart market to invest in.
Who is .ph for?
- Local businesses: A clear fit for companies located in the Philippines.
- Global brands: A strong move for companies expanding into the Philippine market.
- Agencies: Useful for managing local domains for clients.
- Freelancers and startups: A good choice if you want to build trust with a local audience.
