Openprovider’s WHMCS module: news and updates
0 MIN READ TIME
Powering over 10,000 businesses, WHMCS is the leading web hosting management and billing software that automates all aspects of your business, including billing, provisioning, domain reselling, customer signup, and support. We recently updated our Openprovider WHMCS module to make it fully compatible with PHP 8.1, making it even more user-friendly for resellers and end users alike. In this blog post, our team lead Sarath, who led the development of the updated module, takes you through the changes we made and the new features we added.
What is WHMCS?
Some studies suggest that business owners spend roughly 50% of their time on manual, routine processes. WHMCS is a tool, tailored specifically for web hosting businesses, that takes these tasks out of your hands, freeing up your valuable time for business growth and customer engagement. Designed to automate many different routine tasks, WHMCS integrates seamlessly with various hosting platforms, domain registrars, and other service providers. It integrates with over 200 third-party applications and services, including the Openprovider module, and thousands of web hosters worldwide use it.
Openprovider’s WHMCS module: new features and updates
Full compatibility with PHP 8.1
As many of our customers requested, the newest version of our WHMCS module is fully compatible with PHP 8.1. The module has been thoroughly tested and optimized for PHP 8.1, guaranteeing that all features, including domain registration, management, and automation, work efficiently without any issues or disruptions.
Improved TLD price synchronization
We wanted to make it easy for both resellers and end users to use our module, which is why we automated several features that had to be performed manually in the previous version of the module. One of these is TLD price synchronization. Watch Sarath perform the demo of how this works in the video below:
Improved DNSSEC management
Another feature we automated is DNSSEC management for end users, which now no longer has to be done manually – eliminating hours of work!
Improved error reporting and logging
Some of the biggest improvements we made in the new module are related to error reporting and logging. Watch the video below to see what changed:
